First Burn Matters: When lighting a wood wick candle for the first time, allow it to burn until the entire top surface becomes a pool of melted wax, just like with traditional wick candles. This sets the "memory" for the candle, and it will follow this pattern during subsequent burns.
Longer Burn Times: Wood wick candles often require longer burn times than cotton wick candles. Aim to burn them for at least 2-3 hours during each use. This helps maintain an even wax pool and prevents tunneling.
Trim the Wick: Before lighting the candle after the first burn, remove access burned wick. This helps create a clean, even burn and prevents excess soot.

Fire Safety: Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Place it on a heat-resistant surface and away from flammable materials.
Extinguish Properly: To put out the wood wick candle, use a snuffer or gently blow it out. Be cautious when blowing it out, as wood wicks can produce larger embers. Make sure the ember is completely extinguished before leaving the candle unattended.
Maintain a Draft-Free Environment: Keep the wood wick candle away from drafts or air conditioning, as drafts can cause uneven burning, and wood wicks may require more attention to stay lit in drafty conditions.
Rotate the Candle: If you notice tunneling or uneven burning, gently scrape away some of the excess wax to even out the surface. You can also rotate the candle periodically to encourage even burning.
